At High Mesa Doodles we believe it is in the best interest of your puppy and for new puppy owners to go through a training program. This is beneficial to the new puppy owner, as it helps you understand what the puppy is thinking and it helps teach the puppy understand what you expect of him/her.
If you prefer to teach the puppy yourself, below is information about an on line training program with Baxter & Bella. It if very reasonably priced with lifetime support as well.
We also have local trainers we work with here in the Montrose area if you would like to send you puppy to puppy kindergarten or even have it fully trained before bringing your new puppy home. Please contact me by phone or email for more information so we can meet your specific needs.

PUppy Kindergarten
This is a 4 week board & train program where your puppy will have beginning puppy
training learning commands such as sit, wait, come to name, down, beginning leash training, Crate training, & beginning potty training.

Turnkey Training
Your puppy will commence training at eight-weeks of age and train for a total of
four months, delivered to you when they are six months of age.

What is included in the training price?
- Your puppy will be house-trained
- crate-trained
- Your puppy will be obedience-trained
- Your puppy will be fully socialized in different situations, and places such as park, stores, sidewalks, car travel, vet, groomer, etc.
- Your puppy will learn its name, sit, stay, leave it, down, come/recall, wait for food, place, and leash etiquette
- Trainer will deliver the puppy to you
- Upon delivery you will a receive a one-on-one training class at your home with the trainer
- You will receive a lifetime phone or email support from trainer
Additional fees
- You have the option to pay premium puppy fee for breeder choice puppy from an available or future litter
- Your puppy will be fully vaccinated before going home at owners expense
- Puppy will be spayed or neutered before coming home at owners expense or you can have it done once the dog comes home by the time it is 9 months of age.
